Melbourne-based SCLand architect and developer Lance Chu designed and oversaw the construction of the Aurora apartments in East Perth.

As a boutique developer, he said he took an individual rather than cookie-cutter approach, to each project.

“People should rent apartments before they commit to buying one,” Mr Chu said.

“Ask a lot of questions of the developer and work with them if you want something different.

“These days people are definitely more aware when looking at apartments.”
